You need a better ending...just like I did.
We don't want a cure for the genophage, that will just give us krogan babies. We need combat-ready troops ready to hit the ground in a week or two, a month at most.
We need Grunt clones.
Even after we give the reapers the finger, we can't have pre-genophage krogan again, they nearly wiped out the galaxy last time. Their culture needs to change, and Wrex is too old to last through it. Pre-industrial fecundity with post-industrial non-scarcity has always been a recipe for disaster, especially with a species/culture as violent as the krogan's.
My Shepard rode to the top of the Shroud with him, then tackled him out a window and landed safely with the same dropsuit he's been using since Eden Prime!
